Fair enough, Satoko did have the uncle abuse one, but the story wasn't focused on HER if you know what I mean. The story was focusing on Keiichi, and his plan to kill him.

If I remember, Satoko does get another story. And in the way how Keiichi was usually the main character in the first season, it's now Rika.

For the first 'world' let's say, Keiichi was the main one, since it revolved on his paranoia. I can't remember the order of the rest, but for Mion/Shion's 'world', Shion was the main one, as it was about her plot to kill everyone she thought was involved with getting rid of Satoshi. In Rena's 'world' it was focusing on her as she killed that woman and her pimp. However, in Satoko's 'world' the main charcter was Keiichi, as it was mainly showing him killing her uncle.
Pretty confusing this post, isn't it?

And now it seems, the WHOLE of the 2nd series will be about Rika, and I'm guessing it will be her trying to prevent her death, and the 'Great Hinamizawa Disaster'.

Did you know, the fan name for Mion/Shion is Shmion? I always laugh when I see that. The second season just shows what it's like for Rika to go through the 'restarts' and how it all ends.

Thinking about it, it must be really boring spending over 100 years, reliving the same life with little difference, knowing you will be brutally murdered.

I'm also quite annoyed at the moment as I can't find a working torrent of 'Sola' meaning I'll need to watch it on-line.
Also, have you seen 'Sola'? I hear it's kind of like 'Elfen Lied' (not in terms of plot as such), and since I enjoyed that so much, just wondering if it actually was.

And I thought The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was strange. But seriously, a dude made of paper?

It does sound like a similar premise, even though not a similar plot, I'll watch it at some point, probably once I've finished watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai.
Spelt it right without a copy-paste from google.

Sry but whats anime?
It's like Japanese cartoons. They're usually more detailed and have an overall plot.

Quick question - how is 'anime' pronounced? I've always pronounced it 'aneem', but others pronounce it 'anima'.

That's a lie, once I've finished Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, I'll re-watch Elfen Lied.
Also, Scissors, didn't you say you never watched Elfen Lied?
WATCH.

That's hard to answer. The Japanese way is 'ah-nee-may' but the way I pronounce it is 'a-nih-may' with the a as in man.

Just checking, but you watch subtitles, right? They're far superior to English dubs.

That's tough to say. I don't know any more particularly dark anime. I know some not so 'rawr i will kill/destroy everyone in the/world' anime, so here they are. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya(Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan(Club To Death Dokuro-chan) Kanon Rozen Maiden+Rozen Maiden Traumend+Rozen Maiden Ouverture Lucky Star Clannad+Clannad After Story When Seagulls Cry(Umineko no Naku Koro Ni)
Umineko no Naku Koro ni is just like Higurashi, Kanon and Clannad are sad stories, Haruhi, Dokuro-chan, and Lucky Star are comedy, and Rozen Maiden is a mix of all of them.
