Post in this thread software you find very useful. Preferably only post free software, but you are allowed to post commercial software as well. Here's what I recommend:

Do Not Track - this stops advertising companies to see what sites you visit

Download (works on all browsers)

AdBlock - this makes sure no advertisements are displayed on any webpage

Download for Chrome
Download for Firefox

VLC Media Player - the only media player you need, as it can play almost ALL video/audio codecs (formats), and it's free

Daemon's Tools - my favourite virtual drive, easy, and works beautifully

Ccleaner - useful for editing your registry and clearing space

LockCD - haven't used myself, but it looks very useful, it locks your CD/DVD drive, so it doesn't eject when hit on accident

FPS Limiter - limits fps
ClockGen - Overclocks ur cpu

jZip - my choice for zip and rar extraction, it is the best free extractor I have found as it does it's job with a clean and easy to understand interface

ImgBurn - my favourite DVD burner, I mainly use for ISO's

Audacity - a free, open-source tool for recording and editing sounds

However, if you wish to export your sound as an MP3, read this first.

Universal Theme Patcher - if you wish to install 3rd party themes on Windwos Vista and 7, then you have to download this, I've used it myself, and haven't had any issues

When downloading themes, be sure to download the correct versions (32-bit or 64-bit), or else Windows Explorer may not work.

GMail Checker - this handy app notifies you when you have new emails, so you don't have to check it yourself all the time, it obviously only works if you have a GMail account

Teamviewer - very useful for helping other people if you're useless at explaining things through words, it basically allows you to control the other user's computer

Paint.NET - an impressive looking image editing program, loosely based on Windows Paint

FLAC to MP3 converter - very useful tool for converting .flac audio files to .mp3

Malwarebytes - a free and very good anti-virus, it has a clear interface, and helps block potentially malicious connections

However, for Malwarebytes, you can upgrade it for better protection for a fee. PM me if you don't feel like paying that fee..........

F.lux - this handy little program changes your computer brightness automatically to fit the time of day to prevent sore eyes and other issues, however, it can take some getting used to

VMware Player. This is a free ripped version of VMware Workstation, a tool that allows you to virtualize other OS's on your current one. What makes it different about VirtualBox or VirtualPC, is VMware Player doesn't emulate hardware, it works with your current hardware.

It also features a nice tool called Unity. This will merge items on your Guest OS taskbar with your Host to make it look like you're not virtualizing at all.
Right now, I still believe this tool could be made better. For example, it could put the icon to the tray and it could also merge Guest Desktop with the Host or even allow you to start the Guest OS on startup. Kind of like how XP Mode works in 7.

No, I remember being told about it on KAT. I think maybe you reminded me about it though.

Does it really matter who heard it from who? Are we seriously debating that? And CamStudio sucks. It has never worked right for me. So I'll go ahead and recommend Tipcam. It's a recording device that works, at least for me. I like it.

I've never found recording software that TRULY worked, they've all has problems. Apart from Fraps, but that can only record games.

I used camsasia stdio 7 but i cant change video save folder on it, if you want key, just tell me.
